Amabelle Johnson

Originally from Indiana, I graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in 2D Animation, minor as a Teaching Artist in 2020. My work is focused in illustrated concepts, character design, and storytelling, which attracted me to join Animal Adventure! Growing up as a kid, I loved collecting stuffed animals and receiving them as gifts – as an adult, I look forward to the next trendy plush, as well as, even working at Build-A-Bear Workshop during my college years. I was a Visual Arts teacher for a local middle school right after graduation, then joined Animal Adventure in 2021. Having a retail and education background, I know the positive impact toys and plush can make in a person’s life, so I’m very excited to be a part of that process!

Personal facts: When living in Indiana, one of my favorite childhood memories was going to thrift shops and garage sales with my family. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at local thrift and vintage shops looking for those rare gems or well-loved items in need of a new look!
